how do you manage without abs?

Well I'm about to find out. I've just bought a 1200GS and it doesnt have abs.

Having had both sorts of bike, i know what i prefer, non abs please, however I will give abs a thumbs up for straight line braking, its phenomenal, but does nothing for rider skills.

The one and only instance where I was very grateful for abs was on the A3/m25 slip road when I somehow failed to spot a ribbon of diesel on a wet road, if it hadn't been for the abs I'd have crashed and no I didn't panic brake.
I hate it when people ask if you have a bathroom, I want to say "No we pee in the garden"
