Not convinced... The holes in the base plate are already big enough to accomamdate the 54mm velocity stacks.
The way i read the post suggests that velocity sacks are not to be used, and the bike will run like shite without them.
To run them on 51mm velocity stacks will work but i don't think this was the intention when 54mm throttle bodies?

Re: Throttle bodies
Hmmmm - 55mm T/Bs? If they're from the late model RSVs, then they should be 57mm, n'est ce pas?cornish mafia wrote:Just in case some one was looking for a good mod : -

Tbh honest its the thought that counts and it is kind of you to post your findings,i was only posting that velocity stacks would be required to get the best results from the engine/ bodies

Evoluzzione used to make the velocity stacks as they also did the 54mm throttle bodies - I think they were the ones that AF1 used to sell....
the velocity stacks are hard to find - and be aware that to my knowledge there were at least 2 different shapes - i have run both of them and the later type, that follows the line of the Tuono Factory stacks was better
I never did bother checking part numbers but - the one i have now is more bowl shaped - the original part i had was more linear in shape.
I think the theory is to do with vortices or some other black magic - I can only go by my rather ample size arse dyno
and no, before anyone asks, I do not have a spare set of stacks for sale or loan!

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
