Dates are the problem of course!

Marches meet is 17-19 May
Northern meet end June
1000 bikes early July

What other dates need to be avoided?

If its August I can do that.

Syltiz, we could travel together seeing as we're almost in the same road.

I can't see any campsite round here accepting a load of bikes in August - plus the roads are choked with holidaymakers, truly you have no idea!

Don't be so negative; just tell them how nice and well-behaved we are

Don't matter how well behaved, if campsites are all fully booked with families and caravans there won't be any room

What's the weather like in Dorset in early October?

Unreliable, like most of the year. Unfortunately in October - in Dorset or anywhere else - if the weather's poor it tends to be cold and damp and misty.

Of course I could always go home at night and sleep in my nice warm bed in my nice warm house as the precedent has been set.....

Thinking of 19-21 July - just before the start of the school holidays!

I'm up for that. I know it might be close to the VMCC bash, but, what the hell, so be it.

Haven't had a chance to do anything about this - had a nasty fluey bug nearly a fortnight ago and just can't shake off the after-effects - zero energy and bouts of total exhaustion.

I think whatever happens happens.

If there is any chance of it coming together then I will be glad to go and it looks like good support from the guys above but lets not forget that it is a big ask in this area and I hope you can pull something off.
