Also, how do I know if I've the long oil filter cap?
That'll be 03 then - they didn't introduce the bronze ones until 2003

And full synth should be fine

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Seems I've an 03 then... What changed that made my clutch fine taking fully synth?

Appreciate the info on oil filter. Been bugging me for a few days.

Mines the fast model? :smt002

Nobody seems certain of what they did to the clutch but the later bikes clutches don't tend to have a problem with fully synth oil.

Interesting, although I doubt I'll look further into it either...
Acht well, service in next couple weeks followed by 15t front, gear indicator and 190/55 part used track tires.

I must admit, I really enjoy the falco, you don't have to wring its neck all the time just to accelerate. Love the handling and engine braking.
