Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

It was the quick release pins I was interested in. Cheers Wayne don't get too exited by tims comments he was probably just excited to see spindles made for his size of bike

They just replace the screws with pins which screw into the existing holes. To remove the seat or tank you simply remove the circlip from the screw and lift the seat or tank up (leaving the pins in place).
Strength is not really an issue as all the loading from the seat or tank is directly downwards on the frame, however the pins are made of stainless steel so easily as strong as the original monkey metal screws.
Here are some pictures of them fitted

here is the left hand pin clashing with the coil

here is the right hand one sitting correctly, doesn't have the nut and washers under it to lock it down yet.

Pass me a hammer, a spanner and a cuppa
Yup, no problem, I'm away for a long weekend this weekend though at le mans so I'll sort it out Tuesday when I get back. I have a few last minute tweeks to sort on the bike tomorrow so won't get a chance. Pm me with what you want and your delivery address and I'll sort you out.Cathcart wrote:Magic, just the job. Can myself, as a newbie, buy these too?
If so, pm me your details and I'll make the payment.
