It was going so well....

#1 Post by fatboy » Thu Sep 06, 2012 6:36 pm

The battle to get the falco done is in its final stages, despite a wasted day yesterday because my paddock stand didnt arrive ( 24 hr express delivery means when I can be bothered to Pacelfarce drivers), got a lot done today, tyres fitted for £20, would have been £10 if the boss wasnt in,
old blue spring shock out, dropped white spring unit in, went to start bolting it up and..................... :smt010
the valve will not clear the subframe, its fouling by 1 to 2 mm,
Think Im going to carefully grind it

erm

you have searched about fitting a white spring shock here haven't you.....

i think that in the vast majority of cases, people have to dremel off 1 to 2 mm - and yes use a dremel not a grinder

you will also find that the cover won't fit on either..... but once the above is done its well covered....

(And i am sorry - i did think you knew this already....)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
