Well, well, had to ride 90 miles home on the beast and it was a very enlightening event! Feels like an automatic with so much torque and hardly having to change gear, in fact on several ocasssions I was tootling along at 70 and not even moving out of 3rd. Unfortunaterly the route home was all motorway so I didn't get a chance to do much on it. Few things I noticed, gear change very easy compared to my '05 Z1000 which was very notchy in comparison, riding position felt fairly comfortable after 2.5 hours, just a bit of an ache in the right shoulder but I haven't ridden for nearly 6 months so that was probably the reason. I think somebody has stolen the back brake................

All in all very impressed and can't wait to get out on a proper ride, though due to work and holiday this won't be for at least 2 weeks. One thing though, it has Leo Vince Titanium cans fitted and they are bloody noisy, could hardly hear when I got off, what are the standard cans like? BTW, it's a lovely red one and very groovy looking indeed, pictures to follow when the sun shines.
Thanks guys, I think I'm going to love it!!!!
