A good article and study ..... just a shame it will almost certainly do nothing to turn the policies set at dissuading people from riding bikes into policies that promote it.

Yeh it's a good article, but look who wrote it ............. Kevin Ash.
A bloke I personally rate very highly in this area.
He is probably the only bike journo in the UK, who has the credibility at national news level, to regularly get articles like this published in the mainstream press, and gets them read by non bikers as well as our lot.
Obviously he does still feature in the bike press like MCN.
I cannot think of any other bike journo, who has achieved anything like this exposure in this area.
OK we may not agree with ALL his views, but when it comes down to important articles in mainstream papers like this in support of biking and other general common sense views about biking, he achieves it.
Even if he does very occasionally berate some of us for occasionally acting like twats when we know we deserve it.
