What a bummer

#1 Post by paddyz1 » Tue Apr 03, 2007 7:48 pm

Here I was waiting to win a set of carbs on ebay (bandit 400) and waiting till the last 20secs before I put in my bid

The internet decided to slow down so I missed it by seconds.

You never know there's been a spate of bidders who never pay so you might get 2nd option

Can be a nerve wracking business.

I got my Falco on e-bay, my heart was pounding trying to make my bid at the last second.

I also got mine on eBay, although it was a Buy It Now so not so scary... although I had to pluck up the courage to take the plunge first!!

Try some sniping software.

Dunno what you mean exactly by internet slowing down but if it was just a local to you problem then a remote sniper would have won that for you. (probably)

exactly what it says on the tin. A software programme that autobids for you at the last second on an item. 'Sniping' in at the last minute to secure you an item before whoever can rebid.

takes all the fun out of sitting there clicking and refreshing the screen for 2 minutes, but hey, does the job!

On the various bits I've bid on ebay 15 to 20 seconds is the best, it almost takes that time to register on the bid page and I'm convinced crap sniper progs miss as much as I have.

BTW aren't sniper progs banned by ebaygum?

15 - 20 seconds - you've no chance !
:smt071 extra sniper training for you Gio (actually, cancel that - we may be bidding on the same thing at some time and I want to be sure to win)
