Is it possible to buy an uprated (21w) flasher unit that fits a Falco without major wiring issues ?

Yep - off the shelf in most car dealers - take the falco one with you for size

Try this one from Fleabay, i bought one of these, no problems.
i have different indicators now though from the standard so had to uprate to this one.
