As you know (for the majority)

#1 Post by Kwackerz » Fri Apr 13, 2012 7:58 am

Sam has been unwell for a while now. I was called back to home yesterday evening as Sam has taken a turn for the worse over the course of a few days and is in Hospital.

Basically he's got problems with his legs and waterworks and theyre currently pumping him full of antibiotics to try and sort it. All kinda related to the demise of a cancer sufferer as far as I can tell. Looks like Sam has started to hit the shitty bit of it.

Anyway, a courtesy post just to let his friends know, which undoubtedly many of you are, as obviously there has been a lack of Sam about the site for a while.

He was on the Acute Medical Ward from when he went in til about half 12 last night but has since been moved to Mulbarton Ward and overall he has improved since he was admitted however that doesn't really mean much.

A prayer or two may help and I will endeavour to keep you posted as and when things change. Not much else to say really.. Mum is alright and bearing up so its just a case of waiting and visiting him while the Medical lot do their thing.. :smt001

noted Tim

if i can help at all, give me a shout - and there are some attractive young lady's to be found on mulbarton ward as well.... I have been involved in student nurse education for that hospital for many many years - some of the things I taught them were even on their syllabus....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Tell him I'm thinking fondly of him, and there's a bit left for him in the bottle of Jack.

Like many others here, I've been through this - you and the family have my sympathy and best wishes.

Thanks all, I will pass on best wishes and all that from you. He's been in and out of it today, sometimes an almost normal convo, then on the end of it out pops a rabbit from the middle of the floor or whatever.

No real change there then. :smt002

He's in good hands and has the most amazing (and young, very attractive) HCA who absolutely dotes on him, (it was quite sickening.. or is that jealousy..?) so I'm going to be on the end of a phone tonight rather than stagging on his bedside and she's promised to look after him for us.

For the 3rd time in my life I've been quizzed a bit more indepth than passing as to why I don't work for the NHS..

Might look into it when I'm due to leave the Army. :smt012

Anyways, he's stable.

Pass on my most sincere wishes to him and all. I'm not a religious man, so I'll do what I do in my domain and raise a jar or two for his health later on t'nite. :smt002
