adjusting gear lever
quick quick I need to shorten the distance between the gear lever and the foot peg it seems to have gotten bigger since I went to Tamworth

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.

I youths that but I still had me boots on!
I went to griff"s on Friday got booked too very happy with both and obviously happy to recommend both as if I need to
Anyway the issie is the gear change is now so smooth I can't tell if it's gone in properly ( cue suid roling out the spare lewd comments notebook) and I've noticed the lever feels a little further away so have hit a couple of new neutrals. I guess it is the 2 bolts on the rod but which way?

Nearly forgot the best bits 15/42 new sprockets and chain and tune up and clean. Definitely came off better than my mate whose sprig decided to start dying just as we were getting ready to leave ouch !

i think i would start by adjust the gear position on the splines - ie, where the lever sits in relation to your foot
changing the adjustment bar length is not likely to help imho
has the problem only come on since you had the webbing removed from your toes?

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

They adjust the angle of the lever - not its length .... the length is fixed.flatlander wrote: I guess it is the 2 bolts on the rod but which way?
If I remember correctly the Mille one can be adjusted on an eccentric - but that's completely different. If you fit one of those you'll end up with a race shift pattern
