I hate this.

Just wanted to share my thoughts about "spotted" kind of threads. I've always hated those, I think they're boring wastes of space. :smt019

Saying all that I have to ask: has all Falco owners moved to Rochester/Gillingham/Chatham area? I've not seen any Falco around here for a year or so, and this weekend I've spotted three: yellow, black and red one. Who the hell was that? I thought I was the only Falconeer in the village :smt003

Ooooh, Mr. Grumpy!!!

I think I'm generally safe from being spotted, but if the guys want to spot each other what's the problem? :smt017

If you don't like the threads, don't read them. :smt115

rant over. :smt003

...and no, I haven't relocated!!!! :smt003

You are still the only **eer in the village!!! :smt003

...umm, not sure that adds up the way I meant it!!! :smt011 :smt011 :smt011

Maybe his bike felt lonely and so he went touring to see if they could find a kindred soul :smt001

BTW I've yet to see Styliz(sp) in Chertsey, or any other Falco, I think he's a figment of the mind :smt085

Sab, you just need an even darker visor mate :smt004
Then you can't spot anybody and they can't spot you.
Was it a wind up by the way :smt017

For all in doubt: yes it was kind of a joke (fact, there is only one person that likes my sense of humour - you guessed, that would be Moi). I'd have to hate my own post if it was the truth, and I love everything that is my creation. :smt016

So, back on a track:
- black Falco (Isle of Hoo, Upnor, with a group of other bikes). Living prove that black is slow (was always at the back of the herd) :smt002
- yellow one (Brompton roundabout)
- red (very slow - parked in Gillingham) :smt002

Note the emoticons (for more sensitive) :smt019 :smt002 :smt002 :smt002

I guess that as it is so rare for most of us to see another Falco on the road there is a degree of excitement when one is spotted.

Personally I don't even know what one looks like on the move having seen so few. - really ! :smt009

I love it . I am one of those sad fuckers that will approach you if I see you (assuming we are not going in different directions).
I always make a beeline to the falco if I see the owner pulling in somewhere, just to have a chat.

I need to go to the doctors now to sort out my twitch :smt003

I actually chased the black one on Sunday. But I missed it, must have overtaken it not noticing (it was slime slow black, ya know). I need a doctor too. :smt008

Know whatcha mean. I was in my local Halfords, (about 7 miles away), perusing their extensive motorcycle accessories collection when a chap asked " Scuse me; Is that a Falco bellypan?"!
I have been spraying some bits and needed advice on wether the dimpled surface of the OE 'bellypan', (what is it called!?!? :smt017 ), would take the paint ok so had it under my arm. He spotted it so asked.
Turns out he's from just up the road and has a Falco too, (forgot to ask which colour; Doh! :smt013 )! :smt005
A half hour chat later, (the Missus was bored rigid and fuming!), we bid our farewells.
Oh I did mention this site and he kinda shrugged and said he occasionally gets on the RSVR site...
Oh well.
I cant even remember if he told me his name! :smt020
Im crap, me...
Two is the magic number... ;)

No "New Business" bonus for you this month, so you won't be able to buy the 1098 after all. :smt010 Stuck with the Falco then. :smt004

Yeah, there are Falco riders who don't seem to be interested in forums. Which is strange to me :smt017 This is a great source of info, superb support etc. Well,I do own Almera on the other hand and I'm not drown to Almera forum... :smt003

This reminds me of a different thing. Some of you know that I come from Poland (country where polar bears march on the streets and men drink odka for breakfasts etc. :smt006 ).
Well, motocycles are still quite rare there (due to the weather mainly, methinks). When I used to meat anyone on any bike it was something. Bike chat was a necessity.

I tried this here in UK and, TBH, it doesn't work. Most people here treat their bikes as means o transport. They just assumed that I want to sell them something :smt017 At least they behaved like this. So I stopped doing that. " So you ride as well. And?..."

There are more bikes here (which is all good) but the side effect is that they are common, the exclusivility factor is gone. :smt009 I miss that ego tingling gob-wide-open approach of a crowd :smt002

I love a good natter about bikes, but as you point out, most people only look at them as a means of getting from A to B. They should get on public transport IMO

My base office is in Chertsey, but I haven't been there in a year. Should be back this year though so keep an eye out for a blue one.
