2000 Falco for sale

#1 Post by Falconihlist » Fri Feb 10, 2012 4:13 pm

Guys, due to circumstances beyond my control, I am having to sell the bikes. This won't be a permanent departure from the RS, and I will be back on a Falco as soon as possible, but priorities change at the end of the day unfortunately.

Details are below:

I got the bike in the summer of 2010, and it wasn't in the best of conditions, but I have put alot of time and effort into getting it sorted out (with alot of help from the forum), so details and pics are below.

Date of registration April 2000
Service by Tri County Motorcycles and myself, with a bit of help from Griff
Colour - Fast (Dependant on who you are)
Mileage - 29000
Taxed and MOT'd till November 2012
Work done since I bought it:

R&G Crash bungs, bar ends, front spindle (second hand)
Aprilia clear lens indicators
Tail tidy
Gold wheels
Bridgestone BT023 (less than 1000 miles use)
Probolt engine bolt kit
Oberon fluid reservoir covers (clutch, front and rear brake)
New fuel injector
OEM Clutch slave seal
HEL Braided hoses (front and rear brakes)
Showa forks replaced complete
ProBolt fork adjusters
Gold radiator and oil cooler mesh covers
OEM Lower fairing (new)
GPR High level exhausts. (Baffles and db killers provided)
Probolt rear brake mounting bolts
Probolt front caliper bolts
New Brembo seals and pistons for front brake calipers
Smoked screen
Titax adjustable levers (clutch and brake)
Front and rear brake microswitches replaced
Replacement UK spec headlight
Nooj rear light LED conversion (Not fitted yet, have to pay him first)
Scottoiler (Tidied away by Nooj to the front sprocket)
Öhlins shock and linkages (Set and refurbed by PDQ Suspension)

The bad bits:

Previous owner used to park it up against a concrete pillar in a block of flats so the following is what I haven't dealt with:

Small crack on left display. (Intact and does not allow water in)

Left and right side of fairing has been touched up where it was left leaning against a wall.

I also have the following spares which will come with the bike:

Cush drive rubbers and sleeves
Rear pillion seat pad
Brembo pistons and seals
Probolt engine bolts (gold)
Front and Rear paddock stand

Some of the photos show the old cans which went to Blinkey

Looking for sensible offers, and I have put it up here first, as I would like to see it go to a good home. On the up side I guess is knowing that I will get another one, and I get to have fun fettling away to make something else different, and yes it will be black

PM if interested,

Cheers troops

It will sort itself out eventually, definitely not keeping me away from here or a Falco in the future. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet, but it isn't all doom and gloom though.

Yeah - same as what Dave said.

It is a fine example of a Falco .... shame I've got one already - should be a nice bike for someone in the market

Forgot to add, it has a fibreglass Hooked airbox mod, and Dr Rossi chip for open pipes. Original airbox will be included, along with a spare clutch basket, left side rearset, Mille gear selector and whatever else I have, oh and paddock stands.

Andy, when I get back to another Falco, I may even be tempted to go for a Bronze :smt017

Hope you get everything sorted OK.
Then again I am a bit concerned, anybody who plans to sell a nice Black Falco, and talks about buying a bronze one when things get all sorted obviously has some issues! :smt009
Seriously though, good luck with everything.

Last I heard from Rob, he's only moving a mile down the road, so will be keeping the Falco.
