Leaving the Falco family

#1 Post by Paz0274 » Thu Dec 29, 2011 12:04 pm

Well, I'm sorry to say that the beloved Falco has to be sold. A long standing back injury means either selling the bike or never riding again. I've been offered a Honda Pan Euro for a bargain price so I'm going to give that a try. I've tried and tried to work around the pain but it's time to admit defeat.

Anyone know someone who wants an 02 in black with only 26k ish on the clock? Has a Mille shock, Tarozzi high bars, heated grips, double bubble screen and a load more stuff besides. If not, any opinions on value?

Thanks for the advice and laughs

Cheers. Any rough idea of value. Dealers are asking silly money for them. Anywhere from an 01 for 2700 to an 04 at 3895! Mine has Venom cans plus the originals and plenty of other desirable bits. My guess was 2100 with all the original bits (screen, exhaust and airbox lid), thrown in to the sale. Don't really want to eBay it to any Tom or Dick. Would rather it went to an enthusiast or forum member.

Hi Paz - welcome to the forum.
Although it's a pity it's as you part ways with the Falco, it's good news that you're picking up a bike that might give your back an easier time .... and we are a forum for all bikers/motorcyclists/whatever we want to call ourselves ... so stick around and join in the fun.

As for the Falco, I think there are one or two on here looking for one .... and if not, things will pick up soon.

Thanks for that. I've been lurking for a long while due to Aladinsane's constant badgering on the AF1 forum to check the site out! Kept meaning to post but never got around to it until now. I will take your advice and stick around for the abuse/banter that's always a giggle on here.

Having to sell her/him

#7 Post by fatboy » Thu Dec 29, 2011 5:57 pm

Sorry to hear of your dilema but we have the choice of any bike in our life but only one back, that has to be looked after. Think Ive done almost the whole bike spectrum ( not Harley yet ) but for me my Falco ticks every box, best of luck with re homing your bike ! ATB Paul

I did wonder how long it would take! I'll have to dig about and see what I can offload. Depends on whether the bike sells or not. I know I've got a used ventura rack, black tuono swingarm and the longer oil filter cover somewhere. Might even have the crappy blue shock as well. :smt003

professional vultures on this site - you can tell us as our names are in yellow at the bottom of the forum, have a couple of things that help

first - we generally know who has what fitted to their bike - so we know what may be available immediately

secondly, we do not piss about posting to the forum - we PM directly..... or email... or telephone

ask willopotamus - i think he had a text from me before his browser had reloaded the page after he posted....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

black tuono swing arm would be the same as a black mille arm.....
