Well, I've Gone and Done It

#1 Post by FalcoJock » Thu Dec 22, 2011 11:39 pm

This afternoon, I put a deposit on the R1200S I test rode on Saturday. I feel excited and slightly sad. It didn't help when I had a look at a couple of BMW forums - they are full of strangers and seem to have very strict rules. I know you have to behave on forums and there were probably rules I had to agree to here, but it's all a bit intimidating.

Thanks for all the help and advice you have given me over the years. I've enjoyed the humour and read the posts most days.

And I'll miss my Falco.

But the Beemer is calling and I'm sure it will be a lot of fun.

Go safely everyone and I may be back with another Aprilia someday.

Congrats on the new bike - enjoy it :smt001

.... and no turning your back on Ridersite or we'll think all BMW riders are stuck up.
We're looking forward to the reports of your roadgoing Zeppelin

And again, what they both said!!
Come back and tell us all about it.
We are supposed to be a general bike site after all, just that this nasty Falco crowd, (like me), sort of took it over.
Always nice to hear about other bikes, so come back, even if you don't pop in quite as often.

Hope it all works out well for you and all the best for Christmas, (any bike is a nice Christmas present).

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

good luck with the beemer - and i assume you are ghoing to poland on holiday next year?

and btw - there is a new member here who is looking for a falco - wayofthedarkhand - perhaps, before you do the trade in - have a chat and see if a deal can be struck?

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

..... and we'll also be able to assess whether this extends beyond the cars to their bikes and those who ride them ....

Nice choice.

Following the most recent posts, how about 'Rommel'? or 'Klauswitz'

Just remember you're allowed to ride Beemers when it's sunny too.

Unlike the weirdo at work who only uses his bike if its raining sideways.
