Where to shove me diaphragm

#1 Post by John1000 » Tue Mar 27, 2007 8:08 pm

Need to change the brake hoses on my bike so will be draining down the fluid. Have done this many times to various bikes and have done it to the Falco before but I never know what to do with the rubber diaphragm in the reservoir . Does it need to be extended to take up the free space or pushed into the cap. :smt017

It should be pushed up into the cap, that way as the pads wear the diaphragm extends down into the resevoir preventing it creating a vacum, whilst still being sealed.
If you don't like it, don't look!
