Memory foam and electric blanket?
I've bought a memory foam mattress topper which is great for my arthritic hips - but now I'm puzzled about how to use my electric underblanket! Seems to me if I put it on top of the memory foam it'll negate the softness, but what will happen if I use it underneath? Anyone come across this problem?
The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.

am only going by the advice I received from an older member
and btw, many thanks for your advice - my residents were really grateful that some one of more senior years took the time to share stuff

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Sounds right to me.It is perfectly safe to continue using you electric blanket, if you wish. Memory Foam is temperature sensitive and softens from your body’s temperature, the heat from an electric blanket will soften it further. You may find that too much excess heat will not allow your mattress or topper to support you correctly. Use only for short periods of time prior to bedtime and never use one whilst in bed.
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.
