Bar muffs group buy

#1 Post by Nooj » Mon Nov 28, 2011 11:43 am

For the winter riders really, I'm negotiating a group buy with Tucano Urbano to get a discount on their bar muffs (RRP £49.99).

Five sets will get you £5 off the RRP, so £44.99 a set.

Available with or without holes for mirrors or bar-ends. Though I'd recommend bar-end holes as it it stops them getting pushed back onto the levers as you ride along. Both Debz and myself have been using them over the last few winters so we know they work extremely well. Add heated grips and you can wear your skinny summer gloves all year round even when it's below zero outside.

Anyone interested?

Had been considering some but these seem pricey.

The Oxford Bone Dry ones look OK and are designed so that you can equip them with their hot hands product to create heated muffs.

Not convinced by Oxford, had a bit of their stuff over the years that's been fairly rubbish. These Tucano ones I know work exceptionally well, you do get what you pay for.

Every pair i tried last year (4 differeny makes/pairs) would not fit the falco without affecting turning ability.

Do not buy unless you absolutely know they are going to fit.

On a side ot, if you are absolutely sure they will fit then i may be interested.

Not tried them on the Falco (mine has handlebars anyway), though one of the US riders on AF1 has them fitted without issue.

Need to borrow a Falco for a trial fit really.
