Indicators

#1 Post by blinkey501 » Sun Oct 30, 2011 2:46 am

I bought some after market jobbies with resistors for each indicator, I fited 4 resistors one on each indicator has per instuction, but the indicaters flash too quick. I have seen paddys display, Impressive. on how to wire up aftermarket indicators, But before i start playing with the wiring i just want to clarify one thing. I am thinking that if i remove two resistors from the rear end this will slow things down a bit? and just leave the front end with the resistors has per paddys instruction has it is :smt017

Which indicators jay - and what are they rated at?

(how many watts.... And you still have the standard falco flash unit?)

I suspect the resistors you have are for the standard Japanese electrics - and ours are different

I'm guessing the resistors have been provided to replace the more common 23W bulbs.
Aprilia uses 10W bulbs.

Removing one resistor per side should do the trick.

Nod Andy

The 10 watt aprilia standards are quite different than the 23 watt ones - in the past I have changed the flasher unit to get round this - but I have also changed resistors for the same effect
