She's been in tears until I contacted windows live to reinstate her account (password,security question et all etc had been changed)
It's obvious to everyone that a wee 'friend' from school did it but there is no hard evidence. I'm of the opinion to let it lie but kiddo wants revenge and payback ..... She's pissed, to coin the American term, for the first time ever lol
Should I bring it up to the kids mother? Bearing in mind it's obvious who did it by the mails sent, there is no concrete proof, from our end anyway!

Have you printed any? It may be worth mentioning (without accusing if that's possible?) and showing her the sort of thing that was sent especially if it's very obviously her child.ligloo wrote:-/-Should I bring it up to the kids mother? No I haven't printed any yet and not sure the mother is someone who would accept any implication of her daughter being anything other than an angel!snapdragon wrote:

Kiddo didn't give out her password, the girl went into forgot password and knew the answer to her security question, which is something that probably more kids need to be aware of. hardly rocket science when their security question is something like 'what is the name of my first pet'!
The emails are more embarrassing than anything ... all about kiddo claiming to fancy some boy (hence her tears
) Personally, I think it's a lesson well learned the hard way, could have been so much worse!

I'd leave it with the mother, that way trouble lies. If the school's receptive you could get them to have a word with the kids about internet security and strong passwords, having told them what happened without mentioning names as you have no proof. Of course you can help her with a stronger password as well.
I remeber this happening to one of Woody's girls as a teenager and it became a lot more serious, so it would be good for your lass to learn now how to protect herself.
Life was simpler in my day - if other kids were horrible to you, you went home and whinged to your parents and they told you to say "Sticks and stones can break my bones but names can never hurt me". Didn't work but you still learned to be tough!
