One of the many thoughts that popped into my head while reading that site was how little photography has changed. I've just returned from a from a trip to the Pyrenees and took loads of pics just like those.

That's just brilliant.

Paging Dr. Who, paging Dr. Who... I want to hire your TARDIS!!
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

Excellent. Back when men were men and the bikes they rode were built for men! :smt003
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

A more affluent version of some of my family holidays.

Some of my earliest memories are waving out the top of es2 norton outfit in Germany. Fixing a puncture in Bruges etc. That would have been about 1957.

Any way those are great pictures from a time where taking a bike abroad was a major adventure.
Don't put off 'till tomorrow what you can enjoy today

The quality of the photos is amazing - the content even more so!

And these people just did it -no wonder I'm less than impressed with the famous pair that did bottom to top or upside down or whatever.
The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.

Yeah but Ewan and Charlie only had a support team of 6 or so. And modern machinery. And modern kit. And a planned route with 24/7 on call medical cover.

Oh I see what you mean. :smt002
I'm right 98% of the time so why worry about the other 3%?
