mille price question
I am thinking of buying a gen 1 mille with 10,000 miles on clock on an 02. It has new tyres and is matt black. The bike has had new pads fitted all round and the bike looks in very good condition. Problem is i think it might be a bit dear at 3500 quid from a dealer. he has offered to do a deal on fazer ie a straight swap but i think mille should be more like 2800 quid, am i on the right track here?

It's probably a bit dear, even for a dealer bike, but I'm sure he knows that too. There is normally plenty of margin on used bikes, so worth some haggling if you like it.
For that money you'd get a tidy 2003 Mille-R with radial calipers, ohlins and carbon privately if you're prepared to do some hunting around, which is what I'd do!

I have emailed two dealers on evil bay for a 2004 one with 11000 miles to see if they will do a deal on fazer, the 2004 one is 3200 quid, just have to see what they come back with. it is still a black bike though i do admit it is very nice the silver mille i have emailed about is a nicer looking bike to me. more miles but less money at 2800
