Dyno Run...

Hi all,

Went to get the black one on the dyno. Still something wrong with my exhaust setup :smt009 But, gave a kinda healthy result....

So what was changed between the runs to get from 114 to 124 bhp? and is that measured at the rear wheel or crank?

The 114.6bhp is measured at the back wheel :smt003

And (unless I'm much mistaken) the Fuchs is an eddy-current dyno and therefore reads accurately, compared to the very optimistic DynoJet dynos.

I remember reading somewhere that DynoJet dynos over-read (i.e. inflate the rider's ego) by approx 12-14%...

Hi all,

Yes Mango, he put a piece of reflective tape on the back wheel. It read the rotation etc. Not a bad result I thought. Nothing like the up-to-date 1000's like the busa's, but, enough to enjoy the ride as we all do :smt003

Yeah but the Bussa cheats ..... it has 300cc more than those other 1000s (the later ones having 350cc more)
