The RS Ratatattle Rally 07.

#1 Post by Samray » Thu Mar 22, 2007 11:34 pm

It has been suggested that this annual get-together is a habit we shouldn't break.

While our regular site is no longer being let following the unfortunate 'rave' incident last year I have been told that I may use it at any time. :smt002

Also suggested was that it might be combined with a TD at snetti.( approx 25 miles away) as opposed to the BSB last year.
The obvious date to do this would seem to be the Focused Event day on 22nd June (Friday) cept it clashes with Donni GP. :smt017

The w/e could include a rideout on Saturday and could either be a family w/e or the usual pissup (or both)

So ... anyone interested? ... and thoughts on dates and activities?

Details of the location and previous occasions can be found here

WHOOHOO!!!! RATATATTLESNAKE!!!

:smt003 As I am not having an afghan ratatattlesnake rally rideout this year, I might just make this one! :smt005

(I still reckon you lot missed a decent rideout round kandahar airfield)

Chuffed that you still retain the right to use the site! I suppose that's one of the huge bonuses of renovating it!!

Cool!

Put me down for a (as usual) provisional YES! (Subject to war or peacekeeping duties)

I am sure that the Aprilia RiderSite element are more than welcome to drag themselves along! We can then argue til the early hours on who exactly assimilated who! :smt005 :smt017

For those who havent picked up the vibe from it, the Ratatattlesnake is an annual pilgrimage made by RS'ers from all over the place, converging on what can only be described as the Holy Grail of campsites. It's a great place in a really scenic part of Norfolk, good amenities on Site (It's a converted Barn) and it's away from the madding crowd, so no real problems with non bikey campers, etc. You can let yer hair down (or wig)

Those who have been there have never seemed disappointed at all with the place. There's no fees bar the cost of Beer, Spirits and Food and the Gourmet Breakfasts are to die for after a night on the Ale! (Samray is a bloody good cook)

The rideouts are apparently brill! I note a great number of Anglian members, so this should bring about plenty of chance for the locals to take guys n gals round your own stomping grounds.

You dont even have to bring a bike if you're sans bike at that time, there's plenty of things that can be done in the area while the rest are enjoying the flowing roads, excellently behaved traffic and wonderful scenery on rideouts... :smt002

For those with Google Earth, check out:

Lat: 52°37'30.32"N
Long: 1°33'30.98"E

That's the location of the Site.

There are some very nice roads this side of Ipswich but the main A140 isn't one of em and has some particularly sneaky Gatsos I seem to recall.

Gatsos don't worry me anymore (only seem to get caught by them when in the car) :smt005

Don't worry Gio, the dirt tracks of yesteryear have recently been upgraded to cobbles thanks to some EU regional funding.
