Is there a hose replacement pack specific to the Falco, or do we have to go through the usual distributors and pay silly prices?

Which hoses do you mean?

Fuel lines can be made up as can many other hoses....

Fuel lines and coolant hoses. Coolant won't be too bad, just have to get the right diameter, more concerned with the fuel lines perishing due to age, as the bike is 11 years old now.

I think that over on aft in the futura section there is a thread about making up your own fuel lines...

I also think the standard view is to have asset read to put on, but don't piss about with them until you need too...

If you measure the bore size and give hose direct a ring on 01302746969 and talk to paul moon, he is so helpfull and really knows his stuff. fuel water pipe will be on stock, he also sells stainless jubilee clips and makes braided pipes too. he might have a web page

Had a bit of a look. Fuel lines will be easy enough, just got to get the right diameters. Braided lines look nice, but that would be a cosmetic thing. Pete, as far as the keeping it reserve, definitely a good plan

when dealing in pipe you always quote bore size has wall thicknesses may vary

thus making the outside diameter vary

This is a helpful thread - Aprilia does recommend that fuel hoses are replaced (I think every 4 years - though I can't be bothered to look it up). I think virtually nobody bothers but as the bikes get older changing fuel and coolant hoses will become more and more important.

If someone does find good aftermarket details (and it appears we already have a supplier), then I'll take the data and make a sticky in the Technical Area.
I guess what were after is a list of the hoses along with technical info that allows us to specify them - presumably diameters, lengths and hose material/type.

Andy, that's probably the direction I was heading in. Age has it's issues with lines as we all know, and something like this could turn out to be a good way for the rest of us to find suitable or better equivalent parts to help us along in the future.

Might even be worth thinking about a "group buy" - we've not really done many of these as someone has the hassle of organising them but I'm willing to bet that most of us could do with a set (at the right price)

Been waiting for Nooj say he was adding em to Shiny Bikes stock items. He's slow today.

I'm going to have a look at work and see what we've got, granted, 1 inch dia self sealing couplings won't work, but before they got rid of the Pan Europeans, the bike bay used to local purchase alot of their spares from local parts manufacturers, due to the number of accidents involved on the advanced escort course. If you ever see an ex army one for sale, you would be very lucky to find one that hasn't been on it's side. 5 courses a year, and at least 3 bikes out of 6 in the workshop after every course.

He's up in Reading at the Triumph day, goin to pop down this afternoon hopefully, will see what he says
