I'm off!
On me hols again!
Wish me luck, cos this time I'm taking two of my grandchildren, Grace 10 and Elliot 5, to a holiday camp! Elliot has never been away from his mum for that long but he's very excited!
And sneaky too. The other when I collected him from school he said "You can carry stuff on top of your car can't you?" I told him I could if I had roof bars (it's an estate with roof rails) but I haven't got roof bars so I can't. Apparently he asked his mum to ask me if we could take his bike!
I won this holiday, and when booking was amazed to find it includes breakfast and evening meals - and I NEVER win anything! As it's for 2 adults and 2 children it would have been a waste not to take the grandkids, and it will be lovely for them and for us to really have some time to spend together!

The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.

Have a nice time
I'm really pleased with them and they've already been really useful on a number of occasions.
They've probably run out of stock by now but worth keeping an eye out for them the next time they have them.

I've an estate car with roof rails and I didn't have any roof bars until very recently. I noticed that Lidl had some that fitted a multitude of cars and for the princely sum of £25 I thought I'd take a punt on them.BikerGran wrote: And sneaky too. have a lovely time
some of my best memories were NOT holidaying with my parents but I am not sure that is the recommendation I meant it to be

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

We had a wonderful time but it was exhausting - they have boundless energy and I don't! It was lovely to spend so much time together, and for anyone holidaying in North Devon with children up to about 12, I can thoroughly recommend Watermouth Castle theme park . It's the best place I've ever been with children, even if we had to miss a bit of it as Mike and I couldn't manage the slope up to the last bit!
