Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

ah bless - andy is having a VERY heavy period of being a grumpy old git atm :)

(And we do have a wonderfull search function - but i am aware that many folk do realise that some of us old farts know where stuff is automatically.....)

and once you pull the swing arm, it makes sense to sort the bearings out at the same time - the thread i listed does show a cheap source for new bearings, and if a job is worth doing - do it well :)

and reusing those bearings is not straight forward ... read the thread and you can see why folk would change them....

No mate nothing wrong with your choice, but i prefer the style of the gen 1. plus i would not like to tackle what you have taken on having to move battery tray etc
I really do take my hat off to you with what you have done and have planned
and i am sure with the paint job you want the bike will something amazing when finished :smt003

I know you was getting a bit dis heartened when i came for panels, but maybe your bike when finished will be a one off, or maybe you might start a trend who knows. :smt003

Nah - just pointing out the facilities - thought it might be useful for any who had not explored them.

If nobody asked any questions, we'd be complaining that people weren't talking any more. 'Tis a fine line between asking too many dumb questions that have been asked 1000 times and keeping the discussion going.

Been done on a few Milles so it can be done to the Falco too.

As previously mentioned, probably the biggest issue is sorting out the speedo due to the Futura reading from the rear wheel bearing with a different number of pulses .... usually solved using an after-market dash.

Personally I'm not keen on the look of the Futura wheel .... plus the fact it's not a lightweight wheel .... plus the additional mass of the Futura swingarm. Have considered it in the past though

Good luck getting the old bearing out. What a pain in the arse that job is! (unless you've got an internal puller that's small enough to fit in the void, then it's a piece of piss.. I but I haven't, so it wasnt..lol..)

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.
