Eurostar advice please
We're off to France on Monday via Eurostar. The brochure says there's a buffet on the train but I wondered just what that means - typical British Rail dried-up sandwiches or something better?
The question really is, should we take sandwiches and a flask - or will be be able to get something worth eating?

You'll need to take your removable legs, there's even less room on the trains than there is in an easyjet flying smarty tube. And take a book.

Bear in mind that this is not an exhaustive list. Any article which is inherently dangerous or which could be used to commit an act of violence or threat will also not be allowed. For example items such as imitation, replica or toy guns, ice axes, household cutlery, camping tools, shriek alarms, hypodermic syringes and butane gas canisters will not be permitted.
Camping tools..etc..

Not sure about campervans but I beleive they won't let you in the tunnel if you have an LPG conversionBikerGran wrote:That's just crap really - what about people who go across in campervans with a full complement of knives and gas and all the other stuff?
Racing is life - anything before or after is just waiting.

When travelling I always take rudimentary cutlery plus a sharp knife. When flying they have to go in hold luggage.
Certainly LPG vehicles are banned - I think it's that heavier than air gasses will sink to the bottom of the tunnel ..... which could be a bit dangerous.
I guess the ferries are the option if you have gas (to transport .... not necessarily if your name is Hanna ..... parp .....)

Just in case someone bursts into the driver's cab, takes control of the train and drives it off to the Middle East, full of hostages!Kwackerz wrote:Bear in mind that this is not an exhaustive list. Now you're being silly - obviously they are not going to do that when they can drive it into the PentagonNooj wrote:Just in case someone bursts into the driver's cab, takes control of the train and drives it off to the Middle East, full of hostages!Kwackerz wrote:Bear in mind that this is not an exhaustive list.
