"hazard" lights, bike or alarm "feature"

#1 Post by danowat » Wed Mar 21, 2007 2:07 pm

Like the complete twat I am, I had mega trouble starting my bike the other week, turned out it was in gear............

While trying to "diagnose" the problem, I found that while trying to turn it over the turn signals would flash together, ala hazards, now, is this a feature of the bike telling me it was in gear?, or was it my alarm having a fit?

That will almost certainly be your alarm Danowat.

Dale (Falcopops) will tell you how I was riding along with mine on in hazzard mode during our rideout last September - not having realised I'd pressed the fob while the ignition was on.
Dale was so distracted he introduced an off-road element into his route ....

Unless your indicator wiring was to get shorted together, it can't happen with the standard indicator setup.

Ahhh........thought it might be, I was pressing the alarm every which way because I originally thought that the alarm wouldn't disarm, hence non-starting bike :smt003
