Anybody looking for a cheap family car?
My mate at work has recently lost his dad and is looking to sell his car.
It was his dad's pride and joy, but he was 80 plus when he died, so it has not had much use for some time.
It's a 2002 Rover 75 1.8 petrol in dark blue and, from what I can remember, it is in excellent condition.
It has only done 55K miles and has always been well looked after and serviced.
It has a tow bar fitted but only ever pulled a small tailer a few times.
Think it is taxed until end of September and tested until November.
He is looking for around a grand, but may well haggle below this.
Not everybody's taste, but a lot of car for not much money and built in the BMW era, so should be reliable.
Let me know via a PM if any interest and I'll get more details and photos.
Can be viewed in central Rotherham.

Re car
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Initial update with further info. -
It is a Rover 75 Club SE 1.8 ltr Petrol, 4 door saloon.
It is taxed until September and has an MOT until November.
It has done 55,000 miles, and is dark metalic blue with a smoke stone velour interior.
It has both the original keys (evidently this is an issue as they cost a fortune).
Alloy wheels,
Climate control,
ABS,
CD Multi changer,
Front and rear fog lights,
Electric windows,
multiple air bags,
Rear parking sensors,
and a tow bar that has only been used twice for a small trailer.
I only managedv to catch Neil this morning before he left for work and asked him to bring his dad's car in rather than his own, so we could take some pictures.
Just managed to get some on the roof of the car park, but not looking at its best as it has been pretty wet around here lately and it has not been cleaned.
I will try and post these up tonight, BUT Wednesdasy is bike night so off out with Dave. We don't usually get back too early, so by the time I have cleaned the bike and swapped the cars around to get it back in the garage I will probably be having my tea at about 11pm.
If cannot get photos sorted tonight I will post tomorrow night.

Crikey - that takes me back ..... that aircon panel was one of the first things I worked on when I joined DENSO .... 16 yrs ago.
Hope it's still working.
(TBH I didn't work on that one for long)
