Solar phone chargers

Anyone here using these? Opinions, please.

I'm contemplating getting one, but I've read mixed reviews of the cheaper (sub-£50.00) ones

Waste of 'kin time. end of!!
Ive tried a few since ive been in my job and theyre all a waste of money, time and effort. even some of the better ones arent really that good and definately not worth the money they go for.
Better off with a 12volt cigarette lighter car charger and if youre out and about, scab 20 mins off someone's car. or an emergency charger based around a AA battery.. or one of those wind up rechargers. any are better than the solar powered trickle chargers.

I had one - cost about £30 if I remember rightly, it was excellent!

Till it stopped working after about a couple of months........

Well, Tim & Bobbi, that just about confirms the opinion I'd more or less arrived at from reading the reviews. Another over-hyped gadget whose day has still to come, when future technology may be able to deliver today's promises

Sorry Mart - I don't have a Solar Phone so I've never tried a charger for one.

Wish I could be more help .... (as I'm sure everyone else does)
