Invisibility Button

#1 Post by Panda » Mon Jun 06, 2011 2:39 pm

Help....where is the button that turns the bike invisible. Had finally got round to finishing the service and must have turned on the cloaking device. It's the only way I can explain why 3 car drivers failed to see me on my 15 minute test ride. I'm convinced one even looked me straight in the face and still pulled out. Maybe he was dazzled by the glow from the brand new hi-viz vest. Anyway, i though it prudent to return home for a nice cup of tea and a jaffa cake and try again tomorrow.......

In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

And I though it was only me that had the ability to go invisible! Why am I always driving when it happens though? I'm sure it would be very useful / great fun to use at other times...

Same happened to me last week - on a mini roundabout with very clear visibilty and a woman in a 4x4 nearly wiped me out - she did look embarrassed and said sorry but it gave me a scare.

My wife has just bought and new car, "bright" green you can see it in thick fog at 100yards (metres for the young uns) yet a bus pulled straight out in front of her :smt102 (didn't crash, thankfully) so what chance do we stand?

Even if the unelected bureaucratic bastards of Brussels (did I say that out loud :smt017 ) force us to wear hi-viz jackets cage driver will STILL smidsy us.

It happened again, but in a busy pub the other evening! Couldn't get served, 'cause the barman couldn't see me. I was tempted to pour my own...

Aye, but you need to watch out when shouting abuse at other road users. I did it the other day forgetting that, as it was a sunny day, I had my visor up and they had their window down. I received some rather rude gesticulations, but I thought afterwards it could have gotten nasty.

You need a flip-up helmet for that; far more effective at letting the invective out.
