Tail Tidier?

#1 Post by HisNibbs » Thu Jun 02, 2011 7:51 pm

Got the scissors out and within the hour came up with the Tail Tidy.

Then had a "chew" on the rear foot rest hangers, might do some more another day as they took a little longer.

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Looks good, nowt wrong with a bit of creativity although on a separate note I have to ask why you have so carefully fitted the tail pack when you have a Ventura rail system fitted?

I am very much aware that the way the air leaves the back of the bike, or car for that matter, is far more important than than the way the bike penetrates the air.

The Ventura pack is a very big bag that I use if I'm camping or transporting the daughters helmet and leathers out, and her washing back from uni etc.
My daily commute just needs an over suit, laptop and lunch which fit neatly into the pack you see. For my uni project I studied the airodynamic effects of motorcycle luggage and like my luggage to fit within the front profile of the rider and if possible back fill the void behind, making a near tear drop shape. The Ventura bag gets closer to that objective than other luggage systems you can buy but not as close as my custom system.
