Motorcycle engine furniture

#1 Post by Nooj » Tue May 24, 2011 9:29 pm

Something else I'm doing as well as all the other stuff. This is made from a Suzuki GS125 engine, completely stripped and cleaned inside, finished in gloss black power coat with gold anodised aluminium fixings (colour schemes and finishes are the customer's choices).

I'm taking commissions if you'd like one (or know anyone who would), price ranges from £200-£300 depending on how much work needs doing, plus the cost of the engine if I have to source that as well.

Looks neat!

My mate at work has a Rover V8 coffee table.

Air-cooled 500c singles were always good for making ashtrays.

Does anyone actually use an Small waste receptacle any more? In fact, I am I even allowed to say Small waste receptacle on an open forum these days or are the smoking police going to be knocking on the door? :smt002

I have an Austin 7 piston Small waste receptacle. Used to have one from an Austin lorry too but it must have got lost in a move sometime.

Many thanks to the Polically correct fairies for keeping me on the straight and narrow (missed one on the first line though) :smt002

A small waist receptical? Would that be a tight pair of trousers?

I use an old tin cup from the Army and Navy stores. It's better quality than anything the old Brits were made of. :smt002
I'm right 98% of the time so why worry about the other 3%?

I've got an Small waste receptacle made from an Atlentean bus piston, from the days when I worked for the PTE and used to smoke, (a lot on a bad day).
It was a big heavy piston and held a lot of fag ends, but ain't much use to me these days!
Probably weighed nearly as much as a Falco barrel.

I've got a clock made out of one of David Coulthard's steering wheels. I tried using it as a small waste receptacle, but the small waste kept falling through the holes.
