To tall for Falco

#1 Post by millescot » Sat May 21, 2011 8:52 pm

Hi Guy's new to the site and thinking about buying a Falco but just wondering if the bike is to small I am 6ft 1 and around 15stone but pics I see off the bike with riders on then it seems to make the bike look small is this the case.

I would be interested to hear you thoughts.

Thanks millescot

Hi millescot, welcome to the site.
I'm sure the answer is no but the experts will be along to answer in due course, probably when they get back from a w/e get together on Sunday.
I assume you've been used to a mille? I suspect a falco would compare favourably and there would be minor mods that could help in any case.
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

Get on one and try it for yourself.

There are allsorts of different heights/sizes on Falco's just as there are on other bikes and what is comfortable to one may be a nightmare to another so the only way you'll find out is to have a go.
I'm right 98% of the time so why worry about the other 3%?

You'll be craining your neck to speak to some other Falco Riders / former riders.

You'll be fine. I'm 6ft7 and 19 stone, never had any issues although Gilles rearsets make a fantastic difference. I'm on a Mille R now and although a little heavier on the wrists thats fine too.

Had a guy in to test ride ours yesterday, he was six foot something and must have been about 14 or 15 stone. he dwarfed it, but said it was very comfortable. He turned up on a CB400 that he'd ridden from London to us in Newbury, so the Falco must have felt huge to him in comparison.

So how big is BigUn? and there was that other guy from over Hereford way about 6'6 I think, who did a lot of track days on the Falco.
