IRL: 54mm Throttle bodies (not Evoluzione)

#1 Post by banjaxxed1 » Wed May 18, 2011 7:30 am

Had these made up from some spare stock 51mm I had kicking about

http://s813.photobucket.com/albums/zz56 ... %20Bodies/

One set is stamped -
6261-560
ZB01-B

The other is stamped -
6261-560
ZB01-B - ScF

Think they are off RSVs(open to correction), they will fit all the Falcos, RSVs, Tuono V990s from 98-2003 (& maybe Tuonos to 2005 - please check if you're not sure on your model)

Features -
Low idle adjustment designed/tested
Repositioning of the bleed hole
Slotted countersunk screws replaced with stainless hexagon countersunks
1mm brass to avoid butterfly 'flutter'
Angled the bottom of the bore into the original cast bore
Butterflies .001 of an inch clearance - metric it is .025mm cut on 4th axis mill
Custom red-anodized velocity stacks

Euros €250 + shipping includes velocity stacks & what you see - fuel pressure regulator, throttle body sensor, idle adjusters etc

They should fit all the rotax motors from the old shape bikes baring the last special editions of the Mille (Edwards rep. + Haga rep. possibly had 57mm??) RSVR '04 onwards and Tuono '06 onwards definitely had 57mm.

thanks Nooj, sounds right

what I wasn't sure about was Caponords & Futuras

Falco Tuonos & RSVs using the older 990 motor are good for this though yep

You will be painting it blacker....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

They look good ..... but I've already got some 54s sitting in the garage waiting to be fitted.

I don't have many German rooms to which you can attach a set of TBs

Are they different, or just smaller bore?

Both, I think. When I was discussing the possibility of fitting a Hooked airbox mod with Griff, he said he wasn't sure whether an off-the-shelf one fit as is, as the Fut TB's are different to the Mille/Falco ones; I'm sure he said they are smaller, & located slightly differently (but that was a year ago)

Had a look on Ultimate Parts, they look different, similar in places, but definitely not the same thing as Falco/RSV ones.
