Good luck with the trip.. Happy and safe riding dood

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

Enjoy.

In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

think you need to use the more expensive petrol over there - not their cheapest one... Old Git had a few problems that may have been down to the cheap shite....
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Not heard of, or experienced, that one before. Been a few times in the car and always bought the cheaper stuff and never had a problem. Mates have been on bikes and done the same too. Wonder if Old Git had a problem that the cheaper fuel highlighted?
I'm right 98% of the time so why worry about the other 3%?

I have taken my Falco down to le mans a couple of times,no problems whatsoever
The only downside was trying to get out of the car parks, police were checking out everyones log books(NIGHTMARE)
Its fantastic once out as all the residents line the streets and clap
Funnest one was being late for ferry, so I gunned it wide open for ages, got to a pay booth and there was so much steam coming off the bike I could not see the attendant

On the fuel front, I'd be avoiding anything with Ethanol in it if you can, seems to play havoc with the plastic tanks.
I always use the highest grade I can in the bike, price differential isn't a biggie with such a small fill up and why take the risk so far from home
Bon voyage mon ami.

You'll love it although if you're camoping by the track you won't be getting much sleep at night , bikes on their limiters for most of the night ......we could hear four together for about half an hour at one point. Also got to see a melt down of a moped as well which was funny .....
If you stick to the speed limit you'll be surprised what you can get out of a tank ...................but why on earth would you do that !!!
Have a good and safe trip and photos on return please

I've never had a problem but Go-Modem-Go recommends not to use the lowest grade because of the Ethanol content and as he's a native, I might follow his sage advice this year

Late reply cos been on hols.
The Falco is pretty low compression for a bike, so should be no problem.

Can't say we've ever checked what petrol we've put in over there. Only had a couple of rough running episodes, but I think that was down to thin air/altitude more than anything.
