double bubble screen

#1 Post by scottie58 » Tue Apr 05, 2011 10:06 am

Which make of double bubble screen are any of you using? I can only find Pyramid & Skidmarx on the web. Which would you recommend? Being lanky i find the standard screen too low.

Next mod will be to fit slightly lower footpegs - MFW ones look good, also vaguely remember a post about using adapted Buell ones?

cheers!

Dunno what make I have (it came with the bike) but having switched back to stock, I find the DB screen great :)

I find it gives decent wind protection even at silly speeds.

As for foot pegs looks here: http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/show ... p?t=221197

have resisted for a year as don't like the look of the double bubble but the practical side means i've given in...does anyone have a photo of a 'dark grey' tint one, i know most have the 'black' tint, standard shape screen is the 'black' tint so was after something a tad lighter?

I on the other hand prefer the look of the DB screen:

Double bubble? I see now Db in that pic, just a fearfully high bridge in the distance... :smt009

I have the skidmarx DB - in black of course

Good fit and well made

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

And I've always thought that the Viaduc du Millau is a fantastic piece of kit. Nice one, Dyzio!

I have the clear skidmarx DB; very happy, looks good, although it doesn't offer amazing protection and it's not a lot higher than standard; I do get down and look through it sometimes for a laugh :smt003
