Seems to have been less of a non-event than usual. :smt017
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

Didn't even realise it was budget day ... guess I'll eventually find out what the changes are.

It's always better to read it in the papers the next day - I need it in plain english, ie how is it going to affect me?

It'll be like giving a bj whilst taking it up the wrong 'un at the same time. Same as every other budget for the last 40 years or so.
I'm right 98% of the time so why worry about the other 3%?

To be fair.. This one ent too bad.. 5p per liter (overall) off fuel by the end of April.. Can't be bad. Beers the same, fags have gone up. Few changes to business taxes which may effect me, but overall.. Not bad. :smt001
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

Smoke and mirrors with the fuel methinks ..... funded by a tax on the oil companies ..... who will recover it by increasing prices .... which we will pay ..... along with the extra VAT on the price rise that the oil companies add .... so the chances are that this "reduction" will actually lead to an increase in price and an increase in tax revenue.

.... sorry to be a messenger of doom but better we don't get our hopes up ....

We'll never get an easy ride.. That's for sure. All we can do is try and make things less expensive for ourselves and try to give as little as possible to the tax man.

I did hear on the news earlier than the Government were looking at ways to stop the oil companies passing the extra costs on to the end user. Quite how they'll managed that I don't know.

At least we're not trying to buy our way out of debt any more..
