Aprilia RiderSite Competition Nr 1

Summer is fast approaching, bikes are being polished, tuned, altered and generally people seem to be shaking off the winter blues. Heck, Im sure I even saw mention of a meet up t'other week

What better way to celebrate this fact than to hold a competition!?

Up for grabs for answering a simple set of questions correctly is a limited edition extremely quick set of 2 Green Aprilia RiderSite decals.

They look similar to THIS, however are green in colour.. (that pic shows an ARS decal with the application tape on it, btw..)

So. In order to win the set of 2 decals, you'll need to find the answer to the following three questions! All the answers can be found on either this current version of ARS or the archive site of ARS.

Happy hunting!

Question 1. What was Aprilia named after? (Lion thread ring a bell?)

Question 2. If you enter P711256188 into the search tool on the archive aprilia ridersite, what is it, who is the manufacturer and how much might it cost?

Question 3. Which Aprilia model's bit of the archive aprilia ridersite had the most posts and topics?

Competition only open to Aprilia RiderSite members, Sorry, no admin or moderators can enter

I will write the usernames of the correct entries out and will get my daughter to draw one name out of a bike helmet on wednesday next week (21st March)

There will be more opportunities to grab decal sets for free, however we only have ONE set of the Green decals. Exclusive? Hmm..I should think that owning the only set is pretty exclusive!

I can only assume it's the fact theyre Green in colour!

Ah well looks like it'll be a draw between two Aprilia RS members then..

Remember peeps, there'll only be a limited supply of all ARS decals

And they'll get ever harder to obtain!

I shall get one of the daughters to choose a slip of paper out of the Hat this evening. Decals will be posted as soon as the winner sends me their postal address (BY P.M. not posted on the forum!!)

I will say,
I know we're all just bikers, mates, etc, but I suppose I should point out (as all good websites do) that your personal info is kept safe, taken off the PM, written on the envelope, then the PM is deleted. We dont keep any personal addresses at all. I know we dont need to point this out to the 'old' RS members, but thought i best mention it for our new ARS members. Like someone said once (Hammy) you dont know us from Adam (Although my middle name IS Adam....

)

Official statements over, There's still at least 4 hours to enter for those who are still umming and aaahing over entering!

I dont bloody believe it.

Wrote the names down, shoved them scrumpled up in a bike lid, then got the eldest daughter to pull a slip of paper out.

This is in no way rigged. I'd been trying to think of ways to let a bloke down on his Birthday cos he'd not won (I expected Gio to win, It'd be just my luck that the only non Aprilia owning bloke wins..you got the Falco yet Gio?)

I'm sure Goldie is the best person to win this prize ..... I mean, it was a Green one .... not hugely in demand as a colour unless you are looking at the predominant constituents of Tartan !

I'm sure he'll be celebrating with a wee dram, followed by a wee dram, followed by a wee dram ........ followed by a wee ........
