Morning All!

#1 Post by Cap'n Puke » Tue Mar 22, 2011 7:33 am

Wotcha chaps,

Just migrated over from AF1 (that 'other' forum where they speak an approximation of the Queens English). Have been lurking on here for a while but thought I'd best do the right thing and make a honest forum out of you!

My Falco is still work in progress, it was stock until a unfortunate tyre/diesel interface problem re-arranged it's looks somewhat...

Soon as she's presentable, I'll post some pics...

Just wanted to say hello for now.

Captain Puke

Welcome aboard Cap'n! I occasionally lurk on the other site but never got round to registering, probably because I like this one so much. Great bunch of guys, always willing to help, with lots of humorous banter. They do, however, have a collective aversion to standard Falcos, so they'll be along soon to encourage you to rebuild your bike with bling.

Welcome aboard Cap'n - hope you get that Falco fixed up soon and can then post up before and after pics.

Bit of a lash up at the mo, mainly silver from the fighter kit parts... Some primer... But underneath... Faster Black.

I believe that underneath every Falco is black, it's just that some not so brave pilots choose to slow them down by painting them a different colour :smt002

Yeah great to have you in the RiderSite family, a super friendly and knowledgeable bunch here, not sure the same can be said for some of those who operate on the other site. :smt003

Post up some pic's soon.

Hi Luke - and welcome

(I am glad we got it all sorted - seems that some of the none aprilia owning gods do have their uses.....)

take your time to look around, feel free to join in the banter and ask questions

I believe you are currently in warmer climes - where the law on importing certain chemicals is a lot laxer - if that is the case, can you price up some of that industrial strength pube dye ? I think it would make the perfect present for Mr Knott.....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Welcome aboard captain.

Sorry I will have to stick with that as I am not too good with pipes, (better with pies!).
Hope you get the bike sorted soon, don't worry about the "work in progress" bit, most of the bikes on here are constantly being upgraded in some way!
There is usually a never ending list.
That's not in a bad way, as in my case the Falco has been the most reliable bike I've ever owned, (had it for the last 6 1/2 years), so it never seems to be about things that want fixing, just the next project. :smt002

Cheers guys, nice to be made welcome :smt006

Just added up the cost of all the additional bling I want (need), its quite scary...

Could buy another bike for the amount I'm considering outlaying...

Still, it will be one sexy-ass Falco if I do it all..

Decisions decisions...

Welcome to the asylum. It seems the 'mod rot' has already set in, so no point in me warning you about it..lol.. :smt003

Bear in mind, Its missing its belly pan and needs paint...

The mods started long ago, mostly under the skin stuff. Paint and mille swingarm to come, potentially a whole heap more...
