Aprilia Performance open day 4th September

#1 Post by Nooj » Tue Mar 08, 2011 12:26 am

Same as last year really, but with a bit more going on this time.
I'll be up there doing valeting, Griff will no doubt be doing suspension set-ups. I expect there will be a night on the tiles beforehand on the Saturday. Lewis got completely bladdered last year and nearly puked himself inside out, see if he does it again this year.

The last bit might confuse you as you look like you're going through (...welll you do) a housing estate!

Anyone going?

Depending on how I feel I may well pop over.

It's not so far and I need to see how far I can get on a bike before things start hurting ....

Would be nice. If I can sort an MOT out in time, I should be able to pop along for an hour or so. :smt001
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

Hi Blinkey, I'm planning on going to Griff's on Sunday.
If you want to meet up somewhere as you pass this way, i'll ride down with you.
I've been before and know the way.

There's also a wheelie machine and some other stuff going on, food wagon does some nice stuff (bacon rolls, hot dogs, burgers etc. but actually pleasantly edible and not stupidly expensive).

Over 100 bikes turned up last year despite the rain.

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Sorry chaps .... I didn't make it.

Excuses as follows:

1) ribs were hurting a bit today - had driven down to my parents yesterday and done a few jobs/mowed their lawns etc.

2) it was raining and I didn't fancy getting soaked .... though it did dry up later and is nice now

3) I'd forgotten my power supply for my nav system had stopped working and needed to fix that before I left .... and that took longer than expected

(the last one is the main excuse TBH)

Your absence was noted, Andy. Had you turned up the bronze/black Falcos would have outnumbered the red/black ones by 3:1 instead of just 2:1...

A jolly time was had by all, (not enough Falcos, though) and I got have a chat with Flatlander and Randomsquid, which was nice. After getting lost, and nearly convincing Flatlander to do the same...

Sounds fair, but I'd have gone for number 2. Only loonies enjoy riding about in the wet :smt002
