Hi all....the bronze beastie needs its 5000 service but I cant be arsed taking it to a dealer. I have changed the oil/filters etc before without any hassle so was thinking about doing the service myself. Can anyone tell me what else is required? The warranty is out so a dealer stamp isn't so important now.
Cheers.
5000 mile service...whats required.

It's all in the handbook, Go here if you don't have one.
Basically it's change Oil & Filter and check/clean/adjust everything else:
plugs, lights, air filter, switches, fluids, coolant, tyres, pads, chain, fuel pipes, idling, coolant system, brakes, bearings (wheel & steering), check all the nuts & bolts are tight, change the fork oil... and make sure everything appears to be in the right place and nothing is falling off.
...and they charge us HOW MUCH for that???
...and it's a 4687mile service; you're late!!!
