Damn, that takes me back. Is the building in the background still the Bank of Scotland?

Looks to be quite mild for this time of year! My Parents reckoned they'd had snow laying for over 9 weeks in Penicuik.

PS snot mine, mine's blue and a bit further south.

Rbs actually but close enough. Bank of Scotland is next door.

Your folks are right on, I had about 2 foot on my drive for at least a month and I live in the city. Getting much milder now though.

Not mine either. It's been tucked up in my garage over the winter. We had several weeks of snow in November and December, with the M8 betwween Edinburgh and Glasgow impassable for a couple if days with thousands of cars including mine stranded overnight. However, no big deal when compared with the Queensland flooding! The big problem now is the plethora of potholes on all roads including the motorways. Bad enough in the car, so I'm not relishing the thought of hitting them with the bike. I think that building is still a Royal Bank of Scotland site although the main HQ is now in a huge purpose-built complex on the A8 at Gogar.

So who's got that huge building at the top of the Mound. The one that you'd hit if your brakes packed up heading down from the lights at the Deacon Brodies

Whatever the name, same bunch of greedy incompetents. What other industry could have an institution that gets baled out by the taxpayer, makes a billion pound loss and proceeds to pay big bonuses including a million pounds to 100 of is staff? That's each by the way! My company has to hit a clear profit target before minimum bonuses are paid. Shareholders wouldn't have it any other way, especially if it affects their dividend. :smt011
