It's a long shot but - does anyone on here know him personally?

I believe he lives about 20miles up the road, but I can't claim to know him. Sorry.

He very nearly ran me over in the Grassmarket once. Don't think that counts though.

Someone who's doing a ride round the UK in aid of NABD wanted to contact Billy Connolly to be at the presentation of the money.

But then I remembered that Connolly's a Patron of NABD so I've told him to contact the NABD PRO.

OH!! I never knew that!
There is a common misconception that you have to be disabled to join the NABD. This could not be further from the truth - they welcome, indeed they rely upon, able bodied people to help carry out their aims, of assisting Disabled Bikers to get on the road under their own steam.

Too many people don't know that! Time I posted in a few places I reckon!

I was a rep until fairly recently but gave up as I couldn't find the time or energy for it but I'm still keen to spread the word. The NABD relies on its able-bodied members to help organise the rallies, help run the committee, and specially fill the coffers that pay for the grants for disabled adaptions.
