Brake discs - AP8133781

#1 Post by davidm » Tue Feb 22, 2011 10:17 pm

Hi All

My front brake discs (standard fit) are becoming very rattley and I am looking at changing them. Does anyone know how much play in the disc buttons is acceptable before they need to be scrapped?

Speedaway can do a pair of AP8133781 for £120. I know these aren't standard fit for the Falco and I think they will have a smaller swept area than the standard discs but for that price will I even notice the difference?

Has anyone got any experience of these AP8133781 discs on a falco?

Thanks In Advance :smt006

Grimeca do some nice looking discs.

BikeTorque are the Grimeca UK distributors.

Some more disc info from the home site here:

BUT

Demon tweeks also sell 'em

Armstrong also do some very good disks for a good price, general opinion is to avoid their pads though.

Thanks for the recommendations guys I am just weighing up my options (any more recommendations welcome). Does anyone know how you can tell if the discs are toast? They do rattle but don't feel warped and still have lots of meat left on them.

Thanks
