TRAITOR ! .....

#1 Post by D-Rider » Thu Jan 06, 2011 11:01 pm

Yes, it seems we have a TRAITOR amongst us.

Today I was in Tescos and the current issue of Classic Motorcycle Maniacs was on the shelves - so I thought I'd have a quick shuftie.

Now should you do the same, brace yourself as soon as you pop open the cover.
The Editor, Mr Ben "The Hill-Climb" Wilkins lists his favourite bike.

Is it one of his 2 trusty Falcos? you ask - the road-going one or the hill-climb monster?

Is it heck

It's his smoke-spewing RG500.
(though very nice that is too)

Ben - you've some explaining to do !

....... We've not had a forum burning for a while .......

not so much "Bernie, the Bolt" as "Andy, the zippo....."

(I also do like the rg500 but i have to be honest, its ficking cold and a good burning is a great idea

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

RG500.. blimey. No wonder it's been picked above a Falco.. I'd do the same! Nutty bikes.. That Square Four two-stroke motor is awesome! :smt003
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

That is the one currently residing on the Classic Motorcycle Maniacs Website.

Bear in mind that last september he'd just spent the weekend with Griff, MartDude, Sam and yourself ....

RG500! Amazing bike. I'll never forget seeing George Linder pulling monster, almost vertical wheelies on one up the start/finish straight at Knockhill back in the kate '70s.

Eek. Busted. It's close between them I must admit. Both the RG and Falco have been mainstays in my garage for many years - while others have come and gone.

Besides, my mag doesn't feature fuel-injected bikes. Yet. Anyway, you write for your audience...

Now, if you're going to do this properly shouldn't you see if I float first...? :smt003

.... are you amassing some Harem then and plan to make Ben chief Eunuch?

...... though I think at least one of the above-mentioned might see you "eunuch-ised" if you were to develop a harem thingy ....
