My service light has just come on. The bike had its first service early (ex demo) any idea how to reset it without a trip to the dealer. Its a standard 750 2010. Cheers

Sadly, I think you are our Dorsoduro expert and in all probability, if you don't know, the rest of us don't either.

However, we're keen to expand our knowledge :smt003

I've looked in the Owner's Manual and this is what it says:
When a maintenance interval threshold is
exceeded, an icon with a spanner is
shown. Scheduled maintenance operations
carried out only by an authorised
aprilia dealer or workshop can deactivate
this indication.
This points to the fact that it might only be possible to deactivate the warning using a diagnostic tool.

My suggestions are:
  • 1) Ring Griff and ask him - he'll know how it's done and whether there is any way that us mere mortals that don't have the diagnostic kit can do it.

    2) If you can't do it yourself, then you will have to take it back to the dealer that serviced it early and get them to do it for you

    3) Stick some masking tape over it so you cant see it :smt020
When you find out, please post up to let us all know.

If the dash is anything like the Tuono you can go into the main menu then select the diagnostiics setting then enter the code (Tuono one is 13432) and from there you can reset the service indicator change from Km to mph etc...

Maybe worth a try?

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Excellent !

I had no idea that Pete also trawls the forums of the newer Aprilias.
