Aldi Battery Charger

#1 Post by old git » Thu Dec 23, 2010 4:34 pm

So, made by Medion, they have an office in swindon area I think, but made in Germany.
Bought the charger in spring, has been working well, and was as I remember a good price from ALdi.
I did have a little problem, sent an e-mail to the office, got a reply and a new unit by return, all within 7 days.
Customer service par excellance.
Unit switches between 6v and 12v, so good for bikes and cars. Also has a trickle function so you can leave it on for extended period.
Can't recommend them enough, next time they are in store. well worth a buy for the garage.

Yes, although I've an Optimate, we had a problem when my son bought an old 1975 CB125 with 6V electrics.
Aldi came along with their charger and we bought one of those. It's worked very well - we've had it several years now.
Considering the price, an absolute bargain.

The only down side is that they don't have them in stock very often - just when they do their bike "specials".
